I live in Madison, WI and take photographs of things I see around me. Sometimes I set out to take photographs of a particular location, but I mostly just snap things nearby. I like noticing little details and am incredibly fond of macro photographs; I don't like people walking by wondering why I'm holding a camera so close to a streetlamp, etc.

Until the middle of July 2004, I used a Canon s45. It inexplicably died and I was left in a horrible month of camera uncertainty. Since the middle of August, however, I have been using a Canon G5, and have grown quite fond of it.
